About the event

HackEthos 2025: Innovating with Ethics – AI for Social Good


HackEthos unites students from University College London (UCL), the Faculty of Science (Quantum Physics), and members of IWIB4AI’s Youth Chapter UK—led by Fanni Välisalo, a Theoretical Physics BSc Student at UCL for a unique hackathon dedicated to ethical innovation. This initiative empowers young minds to co-create AI-driven solutions that prioritize social impact and responsibility. Through hands-on collaboration, mentoring, and ethical guidance, participants will address real-world challenges at the intersection of technology, justice, and inclusion.


Objectives:


Promote ethical literacy and responsible AI development among future leaders.

Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between science, technology, and civil society.

Develop prototypes that tackle social and environmental issues using ethical AI frameworks.
