By fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and multidisciplinary expertise, the executive team drives initiatives that shape responsible AI development and deployment, advocating for human rights, safety, privacy, lawfulness, and transparency in AI.

Patricia Gabay

Patricia brings extensive experience supporting leaders across tech, sustainability, and innovation-driven sectors. With a rich international background, having studied and worked across Europe and Asia, she brings a culturally attuned approach to collaboration, systems-thinking, and strategic problem-solving. Patricia has contributed to both corporate and startup ecosystems, and her passion for social impact runs deep. At IWIB4AI, Patricia will lead our financial operations with a focus on efficiency, resilience, and long-term impact.

Esther Paniagua

An award-winning tech & society journalist, columnist, author and lecturer, recipient of multiple accolades, including Forbes Top 100 Most Creative People, the Accenture AI Journalism Award and the Inspire Award for her groundbreaking work on AI awareness. Her bestselling book, “Error 404” which has been translated into six languages, sparking global conversations about the digital age.
With her unmatched experience in tech critique, AI ethics, and science communication, Esther brings a bold, critical, and human perspective to IWIB4AI’s mission.

Miguel Portaz

Miguel has an outstanding professional career, having held various roles in renowned multinational technology companies. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary teams, and thanks to his extensive experience in international environments, he has been nominated for positions in scientific societies and actively participates in prestigious conferences. He will develop and oversee long-term strategic initiatives, identify key trends, opportunities and challenges in AI ethics, and provide strategic guidance to the CEO on organizational priorities.

Global AI Ethics Officer 

Jose Berengueres

A PhD in bio-inspired robotics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Jose is associate professor of Computer Science. Currently, he is with the EECS department KTH as master thesis supervisor. He also teaches executive education at business and design schools, and lectures to corporations and governments. He also consults for various companies such as Apple, Lulu Group, Etihad Airways, and Porsche Middle East. In 2008, he developed two startups (a visual Twitter and a photo-sharing site). Author of The Brown Book of Design Thinking (2011), Sketch Thinking (2015), and Introduction to Data Visualization & Storytelling (2019). He serves as associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society
